We are equipment manufacturer
neutral. This means we help our clients select the Best SCADA
systems that provides our customers with
superior performance, decreased operating expenses and increased return on
investment. For qualified projects and clients, we provide project
financing which expedites the project as we work with companies that
understand our client's projects and requirements.
What is
Supervisory Control and "SCADA"?
Supervisory Control:
Supervisory Control is the use of characters or signals for the automatic actuation of equipment or
indicators wherein a Digital Output (DO) control operation is initiated by an
Access-Point operator function or from an Action (math/logic) controller.
Supervisory Control And Data
Acquisition
SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) networks are utilized for industrial measurement and control systems. They are commonly used
in the following industries:
* Power Generation
* Electricity Transmission
& Distribution
* Electric Utilities
* Natural Gas Utilities
* Oil & Gas Production
Facilities
* Water Utilities
* Gas stations/gas pumps
* Transportation Infrastructure
(Aviation, Traffic Control, &
Railroads)
* and other critical infrastructure organizations.
SCADA networks enable remote monitoring and control of an enormous variety
and number of industrial devices, such as water and gas pumps, track switches, and traffic signals.
SCADA is a very broad umbrella that describes solutions across a large variety of industries, including:
Electrical power distribution grids
Power plants
Environmental control systems
Traffic signals
Wastewater Treatment & POTW systems
Mass transit

The broad architecture of a SCADA solution involves physical equipment such as switches, pumps, and other devices able to be controlled by an Remote Telemetry Unit RTU A RTU, or Remote Telemetry Unit is a device which interfaces objects in the physical world to a DCS or SCADA system by transmitting telemetry data to the system and/or altering the state of connected objects based on control messages received from the system.
A typical RTU has a network interface (usually either Ethernet, proprietary, or both), a simple processor, some environmental
The dual roles of the master computers are to provide the information such as meter readings and equipment status to human operators in a digestable form and to allow the operators to control the field equipment in predefined ways. Most SCADA deployments choose to restrict access to the master computers, and interface with the system using operator consoles which communicate with the master computers over a network.

What comprises a SCADA system or network?
A SCADA network consists of one of more Master Terminal Units (MTUs) which the operators utilize to monitor and control a large number of Remote Terminal Units
(RTUs). The MTU is often a general purpose computing platform, like a PC, running SCADA management software.
The RTUs are generally small dedicated devices which are hardened for outdoor use and industrial environments.
