Cogeneration Technologies
Power Plant
Specifications
For Natural Gas
Reciprocating Engines
Cogeneration Technologies’ cogeneration power plants are fully-integrated and
built on a single skid that measures approximately 12 feet wide, by 12 feet tall
by 40 feet in overall length for plants up to 500 kW. For power plants over 500
kW, the single skid measures 15 feet wide, 15 feet in height and are up to 55
feet in length.
Our cogeneration
power plants are fully self-contained and are tested and certified before
leaving our plant in California.
All the client
will need to do after delivery of our cogeneration plant is to hook up the fuel
line, and connect the electrical line and complete the integration of the
heating and cooling system of our cogeneration power plant with their facility's
physical plant.
The basic
Cogeneration Technologies skid-mounted, cogeneration power plant features the
following:
·
Self-contained, on a single skid, one cogeneration power plant
which will exceed 90% net system efficiency.
·
Industrial natural gas engine with synchronous generator.
·
Heat recovery system that utilizes a heat pump to provide hot water
and chilled water in addition to electricity. The heat recovery system utilizes
the exhaust heat, jacket water heat, oil cooler heat and the intercooler heat
from the engine to increase our system efficiency and decrease fuel consumption.
·
Our cogeneration power plant will surpass 90% net system efficiency
and is capable of operating at 100% energy efficiency (when you consider that
the energy produced offsets energy now purchased from other sources) when there
is a need for both cooling and heating in the temperature ranges that are
effective for the ammonia heat pump.
·
Rule 21 switch
·
Meter can
·
Heat recovery heat exchangers
·
Ammonia heat pump
·
Cooling tower
·
Standard engine and generator controls, temperature controls, heat
pump controls and generator and utility protective relays
The
following items are optional (call or email for pricing):
·
Control room (on skid)
·
Climate control for Control Room
·
Emissions treatment equipment – Our alternative to traditional
SCR emissions controls that reduces nitrogen oxides to "non-detect"
without the use of ammonia or urea.
·
Enclosure with sound attenuation.
·
Engineering
·
Legal & Regulatory permits necessary for installation and/or
interconnection with grid
All that will be
necessary at the site will be the gas and electrical connection and integration
of the heating and cooling system.
Under most
conditions, our cogeneration power plant should reduce fuel consumption
approximately 30% to 50% under most conditions and applications while also
producing some or most of the electrical requirements that the customer has.
Warranty:
One year parts and labor on all new cogeneration power plants.
